Optimum Sports

Tom McGovern is a 25+ year veteran of the media, communications and sponsorship industry. His career within Omnicom has included BBDO, OMD and, for the past 12 years, Optimum Sports, a division of the Omnicom Media Group, where is currently President.  Tom overseas core strategies across all media, sponsorship and investments in excess of two billion dollars.  Additionally, he has acted as a consultant to the Big East, YES Network, LPGA, NHL, IMG, and the US Ski Team. 
Focused primarily on the sports space, Optimum has two core initiatives: the athlete and the fan.  Working with endemic sports brands: Under Armour, Callaway, Gatorade, and Dicks Sporting Goods, Optimum guides their competitive focus to build strategies targeting the active and competitive athlete.  Optimum also works with some of the biggest consumer brands: State Farm, Pepsi, Mountain Dew, McDonalds, Lowe’s, Intel and Apple, creating the connectivity with sports and its passionate fans. 
Tom has been widely recognized as a leader in the sports media industry and has been named among Street and Smith’s Sports Business Journal’s “50 Most Influential People in Sports Business.” Tom has previously been recognized twice by the publication in their annual “40 under 40” edition. 
Tom resides in the New York City area with his wife and children.
