Speakers gather before official conference launch

On Tuesday night, conference sponsor IMG hosted a speakers dinner at restaurant Club 19 overlooking the golf course at the St. Regis Resort and, farther in the distance, Catalina Island. SportsBusiness Journal Publisher Richard Weiss and IMG’s George Pyne welcomed the roughly 40 guests, which included USOC Chairman Peter Ueberroth, Canadiens owner George Gillett, A-B’s Tony Ponturo, MLS Commissioner Don Garber, Visa’s Michael Lynch, Coca-Cola’s Bea Perez, Bank of America’s Ray Bednar, Olevia’s Hope Frank and others.
