NOTES: "MLB on Fox" interleague play included White Sox-Cubs (44% of the country), Yankees-Mets (34%) and Athletics-Giants (20%). The final round of the U.S. Women's Open was down 27% from the 2.6/6 for last year's final round, which was won by Hilary Lunke. Saturday's coverage was up 6% from last year's 1.6/4 (THE DAILY).

PEPSI 400: ^ = Pepsi 400 experienced a two-hour rain delay, and the rating is for rain coverage. The live racing portion of the race was down 2% from a 5.1/10 for last year's race, which was on NBC from 7:30-10:30pm ET (THE DAILY). In Winston-Salem, Mike Mulhern notes with Fox' NASCAR ratings down slightly from '03, Fox Sports TV Group Chair David Hill "still wants to do more prime-time Nextel Cup races, but it's still unclear if his bosses will open the schedule for him. He has wanted to put Richmond's May race on in prime time," but the net has kept it on FX. But Phoenix's race next April, new to the Cup schedule, "is already set as a Saturday night race" (WINSTON-SALEM JOURNAL, 7/6).
