In Charlotte, Mike Drummond reported HENDRICK MOTORSPORTS will pay $351,783 in back overtime wages to 214 employees after the U.S. LABOR DEPARTMENT found that the company violated the Fair Labor Standards Act (CHARLOTTE OBSERVER, 10/1).

RANDY RULES: Fox’ Jay Glazer reported there was a meeting last Tuesday to decide whether Raiders WR RANDY MOSS should be put “into the NFL drug program.” Glazer: “Originally, the league informed (Moss) that they would do that, so he went out and hired DAVID CORNWELL, the attorney who got (Dolphins RB) RICKY WILLIAMS re-instated and back into the NFL. ... Cornwell met with the league this week and argued he should not have to go under those restrictions, and even told the league if you do that he would not take those random drug tests” (Fox, 10/2).
