Cox Communications said Tuesday that President & CEO JAMES ROBBINS will retire at the end of the year. Exec VP & COO PATRICK ESSER will become President of the MSO upon Robbins’ retirement (MULTICHANNEL.com, 7/26).

LIGHTNING: The Lightning signed Exec VP & GM JAY FEASTER to a contract extension through the 2010-11 season (Lightning). Also, HARRY HUTT was named Exec VP/Corporate Sales & Marketing.
