86ing The Curse: Names & Faces Around The World Series

Kerry Campaigning In Hometown Hat

KERRY ON: U.S. Sen. and Presidential candidate JOHN KERRY (D-MA) wore a Red Sox hat this morning at a rally in Toledo, Ohio (THE DAILY).

JUST HOW THEY DREW IT UP: The FARRELLY BROTHERS’ cameras “were rolling when the last out was recorded” in yesterday’s World Series Game Four at Busch Stadium for footage to be used in the movie “FEVER PITCH.” Peter Farrelly “worked the phones all day to get a camera crew as well as” DREW BARRYMORE and JIMMY FALLON to the game. Farrelly said, “We’ve got them celebrating on the field. It’s the end of the movie. And what an ending it was. This is like the aliens made contact. It’s something we’ve thought about for a long time, but never thought was possible” (Fee & Raposa, BOSTON HERALD, 10/28).

SPECIAL K: Red Sox P CURT SCHILLING wrote “K ALS” on his shoe during Game Two of the World Series as part of his continued effort in the fight against ALS. Schilling and his wife SHONDA have helped raise nearly $5M for ALS patients, research and education through “Curt’s Pitch” program, which raises funds for ALSA chapters across America (ALSA).
