People & Personalities: Finch Lands Role On MLB's "TWIB"
U.S. softball P Jennie Finch is joining "This Week In Baseball" as the first female correspondent in the program's history. Finch will appear in a new weekly feature called "Pitch, Hit & Run with Jennie Finch," in which she will focus on fundamentals and strategies with different MLB players. Finch recently won ESPN's most-attractive-female-athlete poll (MLBP).
BARKLEY: TNT NBA analyst Charles Barkley said of the first season of "Listen Up!": "The show was terrific. I would stack our guest list up against anybody's. The show got better as we went along. The only show we did that didn't go well was the first one because everybody was nervous." Barkley added, "All I want to do is make people have fun for another half hour before the game starts. I'm not trying to win an Academy Award or any of that stuff. I want sports to be what it is" (L.A. TIMES, 4/19). Barkley appeared on NBC's "Tonight Show" last Thursday and said of his decision not to run for governor of AL: "There's just too much work involved. I got to take a humongous I mean humongous pay cut, and I have to work like ten times as much" ("Tonight Show," NBC, 4/17).
