A&J Sports, publisher of ACC Athlete magazine, has
signed contracts with the SEC and the Big 10 to publish
similar magazines for those conferences. The company also
plans to launch a sportswear line this fall (Raleigh NEWS &
OBSERVER, 7/10)....SportsChannel NE has signed a three-year
deal to carry NCAA Hockey East games, ending its 13-year
relationship with New England Sports Network (BOSTON GLOBE,
7/10)....InterZine Productions' iRace online motorsports
community has signed a partnership with Car and Driver
magazine to document the world record attempt at driving
through all 48 contiguous U.S. states. InterZine is the
publisher of THE SPORTS BUSINESS DAILY (InterZine)....In
Chicago, Phil Rosenthal writes that in NBA Video's "Chicago
Bulls: 1996-97 Championship Season," which hits stores this
week, narrator Hal Douglas "doesn't mention Dennis Rodman
once in 50 minutes" (CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, 7/11).
