THE MIGHTY QUINN: BUCKNER JOINS EXECUTIVE SEARCH FIRM

          QUINN BUCKNER has joined the executive search firm LAI
     Ward Howell as a Partner in the Intercollegiate and
     Professional Sports Practice.  Buckner teams with Partner
     and Head of LAI's Intercollegiate and Professional Sports
     Practice JED HUGHES to further develop its sports recruiting
     practice.  Buckner, who will work out of the firm's Dallas
     office, will continue as USA Basketball VP (LAI).      
          CAPTAIN KIRKE: Toronto attorney GORDON KIRKE announced
     the formation of KSR Sports Representatives, "an elaborate
     players' agency."  Kirke will partner with former Maple
     Leafs GM and current radio personality GORDIE STELLICK, as
     well as with marketer BRAD ROBBINS (CALGARY SUN, 10/18).
