Giuffres Pull Out Of Deal To Promote Milwaukee Mile
Presumptive Milwaukee Mile promoters Frank and Dominic Giuffre Friday "accused the Wisconsin State Fair Park Board and its chairwoman, Susan Crane, of sabotaging a proposed operating agreement," according to Don Walker of the MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL. The Giuffres in a letter wrote, "Apparently, Sue Crane and her board just simply don't understand business, business protocol or good faith contract negotiations. We now have no intention of going anywhere with Sue Crane and her board, because you quite simply can't be trusted." Frank Giuffre said that they were "seeking a three-year agreement, which already was included in a letter of intent the Giuffre group signed." But he noted that that contract provision "was removed seven to 10 days ago." Instead "new language was inserted that gave the group two months to secure a national auto race" (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 11/21).
