Braves Promote Tony
DeMacio To Scouting Dir
The Braves promoted Special Assistant & Major League Scout TONY DEMACIO to Scouting Dir, replacing ROY CLARK, who earlier this week joined the Nationals as Assistant GM & VP/Player Personnel (ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 10/15)....A source said that the Nationals have promoted Assistant Scouting Dir KRIS KLINE to Scouting Dir, replacing DANA BROWN, who earlier this week was named Blue Jays Special Assistant. An official announcement could come today (WASHINGTONPOST.com, 10/14). Meanwhile, the Nationals yesterday hired Red Sox Latin American Coordinator JOHNNY DIPUGLIA as Dir of Int'l Operations. DiPuglia will be responsible for "establishing the Nationals as a permanent presence" in the Dominican Republic, among other issues (SI.com, 10/14).

EXECS: WPS Chicago Red Stars President & CEO PETER WILT yesterday officially stepped down from the position to become NISL Milwaukee Wave President & CEO. Wilt, the former President & GM of the MLS Fire, will "stay on as an investor with the Red Stars and continue to serve" on the BOD for the team and WPS. Red Stars GM MARCIA MCDERMOTT will take over as President & CEO for the team (SOUTHTOWN STAR, 10/15)....USA Sevens Rugby LLC named GARY LOW Dir of Licensing & Merchandise (USA Sevens)....GroupM ESP named Momentum Worldwide Dir of Business Leadership CHRIS CUDDY Account Dir, in addition to promoting MORGAN BUKSBAUM to Account Dir and LINDSEY COHEN to Account Manager (GroupM)....Element 21 Golf Company named PHILIP CLARK CFO, replacing DAVID KHAZAK, who resigned his part-time role due to time constraints (Element 21).
