ESPN, ESPN2 Both Top 86% In Penetration For Month Of September
ESPN and ESPN2 are both seeing over 86% penetration during the month of September, up from the same period a year ago. By comparison, TBS leads all cable networks with almost 87.2% penetration. For September '09, ESPN ranks 11th overall in terms of distribution for cable nets, down from ninth during the same month last year. ESPN2 ranks 17th, also down two slots from 15th in September '08. Most cable sports nets are seeing year-over-year increases in penetration, with Golf Channel seeing a slight decrease.
