Univ. Of Texas Retains Top Spot In Collegiate Licensing Co. Sales

The Univ. of Texas ranks No. 1 for the fourth consecutive year on Collegiate Licensing Co.'s (CLC) list of top-selling institutions and manufacturers for FY '08-09. The Univ. of Florida ranks No. 2, and the Univ. of Georgia climbed to No. 3 after being No. 7 last year, marking the largest move among top-10 institutions. Meanwhile, EA Sports remains the top seller among non-apparel licensees, a spot it has held since Q3 of '03, and Nike USA Inc. again ranks as No. 1 among collegiate apparel licenses, a position Nike has held since '99. The rankings represent royalties reported July 1, 2008, through June 30, 2009, on all collegiate merchandise sold (CLC).
