Balancing Act: NBC Extends Partnership With USA Gymnastics

NBC announced today it has extended its partnership with USA Gymnastics around some of the sport's biggest domestic and international events. Domestic events including the Tyson American Cup and Visa Championships and international events like the Pacific Rim Gymnastics Championships and the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships will be aired on NBC and its cable partner, Universal Sports. The extension, which runs through '12, adds gymnastics to NBC's and Universal Sports' portfolio of key Olympic sports, including figure skating, swimming, track and skiing at a time when the USOC is trying to launch its own cable network.
