CSN Mid-Atlantic Gets Sole Rights To Skins' Preseason Games In HD

CSN Mid-Atlantic To Have Exclusive
Rights To All Redskins Preseason Games
The Redskins have extended their media and marketing partnership with CSN Mid-Atlantic in a deal that gives the RSN exclusive local HD rights for preseason games. That means WRC-NBC, the Redskins' local over-the-air affiliate, can only carry the games in standard definition. CSN Mid-Atlantic this season will show three games -- Thursday's game against the Ravens, August 22 against the Steelers and September 3 against the Jaguars. Specific terms of the multi-year deal are not available. A formal announcement is due out later today. As part of the deal, CSN Mid-Atlantic will telecast a one-on-one interview with Redskins coach Jim Zorn every Monday at 5:45pm ET. It also will continue telecasting "Redskins Kickoff" before games, "Redskins Postgame Live" after games and "Redskins Nation" during the week. "Because of this partnership we are able to take our viewers further behind the scenes and closer to the action than any other outlet in the market," said CSN Mid-Atlantic Senior VP & GM Rebecca Schulte.
