Shark Bait: Norman, Great White Shark Enterprises Sign With CAA

Norman Is CAA Sports' First
Golf Player Signing
CAA Sports has signed global golf icon GREG NORMAN and his company, Great White Shark Enterprises, for representation across a variety of platforms, including television, broadcasting, marketing and endorsements, licensing, speaking and digital media. "CAA is clearly the preeminent entertainment and sports agency and I am pleased that I will have the opportunity to work with them to continue to build the equity in my brand and further develop my various business interests,” said Norman in a statement. The signing of Norman marks CAA’s entry into the representation of golf players. ANDY PIERCE, who joined CAA from IMG in late April, will head a team of CAA agents who will represent Norman and Great White Shark Enterprises, a multi-national corporation which encompasses a number of Greg Norman-branded businesses, including golf course design, apparel, wine and event management. Norman has not been represented by an agency since he left IMG around '92 after being with IMG for about a decade. Pierce, who was most recently IMG Senior Corporate VP & Managing Dir of Consulting, formerly worked in IMG’s golf division and knew Norman.
