Bobcats Holding Inaugural Fantasy Camp For Season-Tix Holders

Jordan (l), Whitfield To Participate In Bobcats'
Inaugural Fantasy Camp For Season-Tix Holders
The Bobcats will hold their inaugural fantasy camp Saturday at Time Warner Cable Arena, where some of the team's best customers will be able rub shoulders with Michael Jordan. Jordan, the team's Managing Member of Basketball Operations, will be joined by other front office execs including President Fred Whitfield, coaches and players as the team uses the event as an incentive for premium season-ticket holders to renew their courtside or club-seat ticket packages. The one-day camp is split into two sessions -- the morning session will include about 120 kids with 70 adults set to attend the afternoon session. Each session will be divided into skills stations plus a film session and a locker room tour. Area high school coaches will lead instruction at each station, with Bobcats coaches and players providing additional individual instruction. In the afternoon session, area college coaches, including the Univ. of North Carolina's Roy Williams, will roam from station to station as well. Jordan and Whitfield will speak to both groups and answer questions from camp participants; Williams will address the afternoon adult session. A group picture will be taken during each session and every participant will receive a framed photo and a gift bag at the end. Lunch will be served to morning-session attendees. Heavy appetizers will be served at a reception at the conclusion of the afternoon session. Two grand prizes will be given away. In the morning, one name will be drawn for an all-inclusive trip to the Michael Jordan Flight School Youth Camp in Santa Barbara. In the afternoon, one name will be picked for an all-inclusive trip to the Michael Jordan Senior Flight School in Las Vegas.
