Davies Appointed CEO Of Falcon & Associates
Former IOC Dir of Communications  GISELLE DAVIES was appointed CEO of Falcon & Associates by Dubai ruler and UAE Prime Minister H.H. SHEIKH MOHAMMED BIN RASHID AL MAKTOUM. Davies is reportedly working for the Dubai-based company on a feasibility study as to whether Dubai should bid for the '20 Olympics (AROUNDTHERINGS.com, 7/6).

EXECS: Golfsmith Int'l named DAN SAWALL Senior VP & General Merchandise Manager. Most recently, Sawall was GM for Nike Factory Stores, where he led the growth and development of Nike's outlet stores (Golfsmith)….The Angels announced Baseball HOFer ROD CAREW has rejoined the organization as an executive representative. Carew will work with the team's media relations, community relations and marketing and sponsorship departments. Carew will also assist management at the executive level (Angels)….Velocity promoted SAM BERG and JESSICA LAUER to Managers and DAVID MARCELLO to Senior Manager (Velocity)....The NLL Edmonton Rush named DEREK KEENAN GM and head coach. Previously, Keenan was GM and head coach of the NLL Portland Lumberjax (Rush)....The ECHL promoted Coordinator of Hockey Operations MIKE MURRAY to Manager of Hockey Operations (ECHL).
