UM Offers Premium Seat Holders Options In Wake Of Alcohol Ban

The Univ. of Minnesota (UM) has sent a letter to premium seat owners at TCF Bank Stadium with "two options for rebates in the wake" of the school's decision to ban alcohol at the stadium, according to Kent Youngblood of the Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE. UM AD Joel Maturi said that suite, loge box and outside club seat owners can choose between a 10% "ticket price reduction or a $50 per-seat, per-game food voucher." Inside club seat owners will be offered a 25% reduction in ticket price. Similar offers will be made to premium seat holders for UM basketball and hockey, as the alcohol ban extends to all school sporting events (Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE, 7/7).
