Executive Transactions
The Bobcats have hired Todd Fleming as VP/Ticket Sales & Service. Fleming comes to Charlotte from the Cowboys, where he was Sales Manager for the franchise. He replaces Mike Toman, who left the Bobcats to join the Cavaliers. Fleming will report to Exec VP & CMO Pete Guelli, who was hired by the Bobcats in April. Prior to the Cowboys, Fleming worked for the Cavaliers, Heat and Nets. Fleming is expected to start his new job later this month (John Lombardo, SportsBusiness Journal).
HOOP IT UP: iHoops, the youth basketball joint venture between the NBA and the NCAA, yesterday formally introduced former TCU men's basketball coach NEIL DOUGHERTY as Dir of Athlete & Coach Programs and former Clutch Media Marketing President RONNIE ZEIDEL as VP/Marketing Partnerships. Both will report to iHoops CEO KEVIN WEIBERG. iHoops also has hired GREG TURNER as Associate Dir of Programs and RONDA HITE as Dir of Finance & Administration, while MATT BORTZ will oversee iHoops.com as Dir of Content Media Management (NBA).
EXECS: ProConcept Marketing Group (PCMG) named former NFLer RAY BUCHANAN VP/Talent Relations. Buchanan will concentrate his efforts on current and retired NFLers (PCMG)….WNBA Mystics assistant coach VICKY BULLETT has added Manager of Basketball Operations duties to her responsibilities (WASHINGTONPOST.com, 6/8).
