Competitor Group To Announce New Marathon In New Orleans

The Competitor Group plans to announce tomorrow a marathon and half marathon in New Orleans, giving the company's Rock 'n' Roll series 13 endurance events and 350,000 runners. When private equity firm Falconhead bought the series 17 months ago, there were six events and 137,000 runners. Competitor expects to add two more events by the end of the year. The company also renewed its title sponsorship with P.F. Chang's for the Arizona marathon and half marathon.
