LHM Expected To Exceed $100M In Revenue In Company's First Year

Legends Hospitality Management (LHM), the concessions company founded by the Cowboys and Yankees, "should exceed $100[M] in revenue in its first year of operation," and LHM Chair & CEO Mike Rawlings said that $150M is "not out of reach," according to Gary Jacobson of the DALLAS MORNING NEWS. LHM will make its Texas debut at Saturday's George Strait/Reba McEntire concert at Cowboys Stadium, and Rawlings "promises more variety -- including Tex-Mex and Texas barbecue." Rawlings also "promises quicker service, fresher food and 'the best margaritas' you can get anywhere." Rawlings said that Cowboys Stadium has "twice as many serving points of sale as the old stadium," or "one for about every 125 fans compared with one for every 250." Jacobson notes the new stadium, unlike Texas Stadium, also is "automated to accept credit and debit cards." Meanwhile, LHM Senior VP Amy Phillips said that on game days "about 2,500 people from nonprofit groups will work in the concession stands," while another 2,000 workers will be "employed in the rest of the operation, ranging from cooks to hawkers to suite attendants." Phillips said that the comparable numbers at Texas Stadium were "2,000 nonprofit and 1,250 employees." Mavericks Owner Mark Cuban said of LHM, "I think it's a great idea with a ton of promise" (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 6/2).
