Wasserman Media Group (WMG) agents B.J. ARMSTRONG and ARN TELLEM have signed for representation of JEREMY TYLER, the 6’11” high school junior who recently announced he is forgoing his senior year of high school and college to play in Europe before pursuing an NBA career. WMG will represent Tyler in talks with European clubs and potential sponsors, including shoe companies, Armstrong said. WMG signed Tyler for representation after he and his family members interviewed other agents, Armstrong added. Tyler, who had verbally committed to the Univ. of Louisville prior to his decision to leave school, is considered one of the best big men in years and could be taken No. 1 overall in the ‘11 NBA Draft, according to various media reports. Tellem, President of WMG Management, has long been considered the most powerful agent in basketball. Armstrong is a former NBAer who counts current Bulls G and NBA Rookie of the Year DERRICK ROSE among his clients. “Our two main tasks is to, one, begin talks with European teams and two, helping him secure a deal with one of the shoe companies,” Armstrong said. Tyler will begin talks with European teams and shoe companies in the first week of June, Armstrong said, adding that it is a tough market for shoe deals right now.
