Overnight Nielsen Ratings From Weekend Sports Telecasts

Yesterday's Blackhawks-Red Wings Game One of the NHL Western Conference Finals earned a 2.0/5 overnight rating on NBC, up 17.6% from a 1.7/4 for Flyers-Penguins Game Five of the Eastern Conference Finals on the comparable date last year. The 2.0/5 also marks the highest overnight rating for an NHL telecast on broadcast TV-- excluding the Stanley Cup Finals and the Winter Classic -- since a 2.1/5 overnight for Conference Quarterfinal regional coverage on ABC in '04. The following lists overnight Nielsen ratings from weekend sports telecasts (THE DAILY).
