ESPN.com's David Newton reports Richard Petty Motorsports (RPM) CEO TOM REDDIN has resigned, and RPM Principal Foster Gillett, the son of RPM co-Owner GEORGE GILLETT, "will oversee day-to-day operations," effective immediately. Reddin, who joined RPM prior to the '08 season, said, "This is strictly a personal decision. When I took this job, one concern I had was how many races I'd do. I have three little ones at home." Reddin said that he has attended 10 NASCAR races this season, which is "too many" (ESPN.com, 5/15).

EXECS: The 49ers named Grizzlies Senior VP/Business Operations MIKE REDLICK VP/Business Development (49ers)....Former Spanish La Liga club Real Madrid President FLORENTINO PÉREZ Thursday announced that he will again run for President of the club in this summer's election. Perez will "present himself for the club's June 14 vote with the intention of returning glory to the club" after resigning his post in February '06 (AP, 5/14)....The Saints named MELISSA PENDER Manager of Suite Sales & Service.
