Steelers, Giants Top '09 NFL Team Ticket Price Sales On StubHub
NFL teams are averaging $180 per ticket on StubHub.com for '09 regular-season games through Sunday, down 2.7% from the same period a year ago, according to a SportsBusiness Daily/Journal analysis. The Steelers lead all franchises at $307.90 for a regular-season ticket in '09, up 1.9% on the heels of their Super Bowl XLIII victory. The Giants, who won Super Bowl XLII, rank second, but are off 22.4% in average ticket sale price. The Ravens are seeing the biggest year-to-year gains, up 39.7%, while the Colts are seeing the sharpest drop-off, down 44.7% for their second season in Lucas Oil Stadium. Compared to the final regular-season average from '08, NFL teams are up 32.4%. Only the Titans and Bills are seeing lower average ticket sale prices compared to their eight home games in '08.
