MLS Philadelphia has hired former WTXF-Fox Sports Dir CARL CHERKIN as VP/Communications, effective immediately (Philly MLS). In Philadelphia, Jeff Gammage noted Cherkin's hiring "had been expected, as he spent more than a year working behind the scenes, first to help land" the MLS franchise, "and then to help it get established" (PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER, 5/5).
