Price Stepping Down
As SI Digital President |
SI Digital President JEFF PRICE last night announced he is resigning the post after more than three years and seven overall with Sports Illustrated. Price -- who helped engineer an extensive series of interactive deals such as SI’s purchase in '07 of FanNation.com, the title’s ongoing partnership with S.F.-based Citizen Sports Network as well as the reconstruction of Golf.com -- characterized the move in a statement as it being “time to explore new challenges.” Reached last night, Price declined further immediate comment, except to say, “For the first time in 20 years, I’m a free agent, and I’m looking forward to it.” Prior to becoming SI Digital president in November '05, Price was SI VP & CMO, and before that served in executive roles for Millsport, Trackus, MasterCard, and USA Sports. VIVEK SHAH, Group Digital President for Time Inc.’s News Group and the exec to whom Price reported to as part of a corporate reorganization undertaken last year, will oversee SI Digital.
