Nationals VP Tod Rosensweig Leaving Team To Join Hornets
By Terry Lefton, Editor-at-Large
Nationals VP/Corporate Partnerships TOD ROSENSWEIG is leaving the team to take his third NBA front office job, this time as Senior Dir of National Sales for the Hornets. In his new job, Rosensweig will report to Hornets VP/Corporate Partnerships TOM WARD. Ward was Nationals Senior VP & CMO before leaving for New Orleans last fall. Rosensweig will start his new job April 20. "Obviously, the NBA is a great love of mine and the Hornets situation, where you get to help rebuild the city as part of your job, is one I found very appealing," he said. Rosensweig joined the Nationals in January '07. Prior to that he held similar positions with the Bobcats and Celtics, where he spent 21 years in a variety of jobs including Dir of Sales, Dir of PR, Dir of Marketing and VP/Marketing & Communications. Following his time with the Celtics, he was General Dir of Olympic & Event Marketing at John Hancock. The departure continues some recent instability within the Nationals' front office, as GM & Senior VP JIM BOWDEN resigned last month. The team has yet to name Rosensweig's replacement.
