Rogers Promotes
Mohamed To CEO
Rogers Communications Group President & COO NADIR MOHAMED has been promoted to Rogers Communications CEO, "elevating the long-time telecom executive to the position left open by the passing" of late President & CEO and Blue Jays Owner TED ROGERS, according to Grant Robertson of the GLOBE & MAIL. A source said that the decision "has been finalized internally, and an announcement on the appointment is said to be imminent, possibly within the next week or two." The company reportedly is "working on an arrangement that would give Mr. Rogers' son EDWARD ROGERS a key title at the top of the company, striking a careful power balance between the two executives" (GLOBE & MAIL, 3/16).
