Venue-By-Venue Attendance For '06 World Baseball Classic

The World Baseball Classic (WBC) began today with Japan defeating China in front of a near sellout crowd at the Tokyo Dome. The '06 WBC drew 737,112 total fans for its 39 games. The most-attended game was the Korea-Mexico game at Angel Stadium in Anaheim with 42,979 fans. The semifinals and final game at Petco Park in San Diego averaged 42,201 fans per game. The chart below lists average attendance by site for the '06 WBC (THE DAILY).
