Tennis Channel promoted Chief Technology Officer & VP/Administration DEAN HADAEGH to Chief Technology Officer & Senior VP/Technical Operations (Tennis Channel)….YES Network announced NEAL BAKER will serve as Producer for the network’s live telecast of WFAN’s “Mike Francesa” and STEVEN GOLDBERG will serve as Studio Producer for a variety of studio programs, including Yankees and Nets pre- and postgame shows. Most recently, Baker was a Producer at NBA TV while Goldberg was a Line Producer at ESPN (YES).
AROUND THE WORLD: The Korean Olympic Committee appointed Y.S. PARK President. Park is an ex-IOC member and former President of the Int’l Judo Federation (AROUNDTHERINGS.com, 2/21)….RICHARD LEWIS was appointed Chair for Sport England (Dept. for Culture, Media & Sport)….Team Canada named former Olympic skier STEVE PODBORSKI and former NHLer JOE JUNEAU co-Assistant Chefs de Mission (AROUNDTHERINGS.com, 2/19).
GOLF: The Environmental Institute for Golf, the philanthropic organization of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA), received a commitment from golfer GREG NORMAN to serve another five years on the Board of Trustees and to Chair its Advisory Council. Agrium Advanced Technologies President BILL BOYCOTT and Glen Arbor Golf Club President MORGAN GREGORY will join the Advisory Council, and The PGA of America CEO JOE STERANKA and Harrell’s Fertilizer CEO JACK HARRELL both recommitted for another two years (GCSAA).
