Grey Goose To Be Presenting Sponsor Of NBPA All-Star Game Party
By Terry Lefton, Editor-at-Large
Bacardi's Grey Goose Vodka has signed on as the presenting sponsor of the NBPA Party being held next Saturday night, one night before the NBA All-Star Game in Phoenix. Grey Goose gets tickets, signage and a private lounge at the party, which will be held for around 3,500 people at the Phoenix Convention Center. Other sponsors include F.A.M.E., Aviation Partners, Real Estate Recovery Partners and Source magazine. On the league side of the NBA All-Star sponsorship scene, sponsor conflicts inevitably arise at league controlled events. In the case of this year's event, T-Mobile clashes with Suns sponsor Verizon Wireless. However, the Suns’ roster of Coca-Cola, Gatorade, adidas, Budweiser, Toyota and Dial/Right Guard are all league sponsors. Since the Suns have two airline partners -- building sponsors US Airways and Southwest Airlines for media and marketing outside of the arena -- that is less of a conflict than it would seem.
