Cowboys Rank As Top-Selling NFL Team; Favre Leads In Jersey Sales

Cowboys Lead All Other NFL Teams
In NFLShop.com Sales Through December
The Cowboys for the second consecutive year ranked as the top-selling NFL team for merchandise on NFLShop.com based on units sold from April 1-December 31, and the team boasted five players in top 25 jersey sales for the same period. The Giants jumped to No. 2 in team merchandise sales following their Super Bowl XLII championship, up from No. 7 for the same period last year. The Steelers, Jets and Bears rounded out the top five, with the Jets vaulting to No. 4 from outside the top 10 last year following the acquisition of QB Brett Favre. Meanwhile, Favre led all NFLers among jersey sales on NFLShop.com, climbing to the top spot in his first year with the Jets after ranking No. 4 last year with the Packers. Cowboys QB Tony Romo, Giants QB Eli Manning, Steelers S Troy Polamalu and Vikings RB Adrian Peterson rounded out the top five, with Manning climbing to No. 3 from No. 17 last year. Patriots QB Tom Brady, who ranked No. 2 in jersey sales last year, fell to No. 12 after sustaining a season-ending injury in Week One. Falcons QB Matt Ryan posted the highest jersey sales of any rookie on the list, debuting at No. 15 after leading the Falcons to the playoffs (NFL).
