NFL, Westwood One Hold More Talks About League's Radio Rights
By John Ourand, Staff Writer
The NFL held talks with Westwood One at the league's N.Y. offices last Friday to further go over the radio station's financial standing. The NFL is negotiating with Westwood One, ESPN Radio, Sporting News Radio and others about the radio rights for the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons. Westwood One has held those rights for 22 seasons. Friday's meeting included representatives from Gores Group, LLC, which made a $100M equity investment in the company in February. "We continue to meet and negotiate with Westwood One," said an NFL spokesperson.
