In Las Vegas, Ed Graney reports while former ATPer ANDRE AGASSI parted ways with his manager, PERRY ROGERS, in October, and Rogers last week filed a $50,000 breach of contract suit against Agassi's wife, Int'l Tennis HOFer STEFFI GRAF, there are "countless more layers to this than a sum of money." Minor details "don't end relationships like the one Agassi and Rogers had," and "serious issues lined this split, perhaps even beyond reports of the collapse of a major business investment." Agassi: "It's like a divorce in many ways. I still don't think I'm in a place where I can process this yet. None of it is easy. At the end of the day, you try to get through it as responsibly as possible. I certainly love my wife more than life itself and will be there for her during this time" (LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL, 12/10).

HONORS & AWARDS: The Baseball HOF yesterday awarded its Ford C. Frick Award to announcer TONY KUBEK. Kubek worked for NBC, the Blue Jays and the Yankees, and was the color commentator for the final NBC "Game of the Week" telecast in '89. Kubek is the first TV analyst to win this award (AP, 12/9)....Red Sox GM THEO EPSTEIN yesterday was honored as MLB's Exec of the Year by Baseball America (PROVIDENCE JOURNAL, 12/10)....L.A. Times sports columnist and former Sports Editor BILL DWYRE at this year's John Wooden Classic Coaches Dinner will receive the Pyramid Award (Honda Center).
