The MLS Houston Dynamo and COO CHRIS CANETTI have agreed to a three-year contract extension through 2011. Canetti is in his third year as Dynamo COO where he oversees all aspects of the organization (Dynamo)….The Pirates named MARC DELPIANO Special Assistant to GM NEAL HUNTINGTON. For the past three seasons, DelPiano was a special assignment scout for the Red Sox (PITTSBURGH POST-GAZETTE, 12/3).
MEDIA: FSN named STEVE LIVERANI Senior VP & GM of Fox Sports Florida and Sun Sports, replacing Cathy Weeden, who was named General Manager of Gator Sports Marketing (FSN)….Channel 1 Media named CRAIG WATTIE Project Manager and NICOLE KELLY Production Assistant (Channel 1 Media)….St. Louis’ KFNS-AM has fired sports-talk show hosts BRIAN MCKENNA and KYLE ELFRINK and “plans to retool its lineup soon.” HOWARD BALZER is filling in temporarily in the morning and JAY RANDOLPH JR. is taking Elfrink’s afternoon time slot on an interim basis (ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH, 12/4).
