Delaware North Sportservice Taps
Kevin Austin As Regional VP |
Sports concessionaire Delaware North Sportservice has hired KEVIN AUSTIN as Regional VP for New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, where his duties include overseeing food operations for the new Meadowlands NFL stadium opening in 2010. Austin was most recently a Senior VP for Centerplate, responsible for accounts at Safeco Field, Tropicana Field, LP Field and 10 minor league ballparks. Austin had been at Centerplate for 30 years (Don Muret, SportsBusiness Journal).
EXECS: English Coca-Cola Football League Championship club Watford announced Chair GRAHAM SIMPSON has resigned and named ANDREW WILSON interim Chair. Simpson was named Chair in '02 and was in charge when the club was promoted to the EPL in ’06, but the team was subsequently relegated after one season (LONDON TIMES, 12/2)….The Rays promoted Senior Dir of Development MELANIE LENZ to VP/Development. Lenz joined the Rays in November ’06 after serving as VP in the real estate division of the New York City Economic Development Corp. (Rays)….Golf Channel promoted Coordinating Dir DAN OVERLEESE to VP/TV Network Operations where he will oversee the net’s engineering and operations (Golf Channel).
