Driving Away: Gillett Evernham's Jim Tucker Leaving To Join IMG

Jim Tucker To Join IMG
JIM TUCKER is leaving Gillett Evernham Motorsports (GEM) to join IMG Sports & Entertainment as VP/U.S. Business Development with an emphasis on motorsports. Tucker, who also has worked in the league offices with NASCAR and the NFL, was the first sales exec for a NASCAR team to be placed in N.Y. when he was hired by Gillett Evernham in September '07. While with the team, he worked with sponsors Air Force, Subway, Verizon/Motorola and Cintas, among others. A GEM official said the team likely will not continue to have that position based out of N.Y. At IMG, where he will start in January, Tucker will report to Senior VP/Business Development TOM WORCESTER and work out of IMG's N.Y. office.
