Puma Hires N.Y.-Based Ad Agency Droga5 To Lead Global Account

Puma has appointed Droga5, N.Y., as lead ad agency for its "more than $100[M] global marketing account," according to Rupal Parekh of AD AGE. The move, "which was made without an official review, marks the first time Puma is consolidating lead ad duties at a single shop." Droga5 "will work closely with Puma's in-house marketing team on a new Puma brand campaign, as well as individual product pushes, which will break next year." In the future, work is "expected to continue featuring" Jamaica Gold Medal-winning sprinter Usain Bolt, "who helped Puma experience a surge in awareness" during the Beijing Olympics (ADAGE.com, 11/12).
