Bag It Up: Cavs Selling Basketball Carrier Developed By Teenager

All-Net Sak Retails For $20 At
Quicken Loans Arena Store
Seventeen-year-old entrepreneur Adrian Lindsey is "scoring big" after the Cavaliers two weeks ago began selling his All-Net Sak basketball carrier at the club's Team Shop at Quicken Loans Arena, according to Marcia Pledger of the Cleveland PLAIN DEALER. The bag, which "comes in Cavs colors" and bears the team's logo, retails for $20. Cavaliers Dir of Merchandising Michael Thom: "Depending on the success, we will try to put it on our Web site if the test in the team shop goes well." Pledger noted Lindsey, who developed the bag when he was 12 years old, turned an "ordinary basketball net into a practical bag for carrying a ball." Lindsey last year sent an e-mail to Cavaliers Owner Dan Gilbert, "calling his attention to the product." One of Gilbert's assistants "introduced [Lindsey] to the director of an entrepreneurship program Gilbert started in Michigan." That "led to a giveaway of 60 All-Net Saks during a Cavs game last spring and, eventually, to getting the product on the shelf at the team shop." Lindsey also donated 60 bags and a portion of his revenue "to kids taking part in the LeBron James King for Kids Bike-A-Thon in Akron last summer." Thom: "It's definitely a product for kids and teenagers. ... It's a functional product" (Cleveland PLAIN DEALER, 11/5).
