Brewers Freeze '09 Ticket Prices For Terrace Reserved Seats
The Brewers "will freeze some ticket prices for next season, but built in a 5% increase for the average individual game and season-ticket package," according to Don Walker of the MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL. All Terrace Reserved seats at Miller Park, which represent 27% of all seats at the venue, "will stay at $9 per game for existing season-ticket holders and $14 for individual games." The Brewers also plan "no price increases for individual non-marquee games in the Loge Infield Box, Bernie's Terrace and Uecker seats." However, "there will be increases, especially for the marquee games." For a field infield box for marquee games, an individual ticket "will cost $80, an increase of $20," while a field outfield box individual game ticket "will cost $65, up $15." Walker notes "existing season-set holders also will see some increases." Brewers Exec VP/Business Operations Rick Schlesinger said that the front office, including Brewers Owner Mark Attanasio, "weighed the positive feelings fans had last season for the ... Brewers with the economic realities ahead." Schlesinger: "The sobering economic news played a role in determining our pricing. That figured in our decision to freeze prices in some areas, and keep price increases modest in other areas" (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 10/31).
