NFC Attendance Down Slightly; Falcons See Biggest Drop
Through Week Five, the NFL is averaging 68,829 fans per game, on par with the same period last year (-0.4%). The Redskins lead the league at 89,153 fans per game at FedEx Field, slightly off from last season. Ten of the 16 NFC teams are seeing declines at the turnstile, with the Falcons seeing the biggest drop (-9.3%). The Georgia Dome is the only NFC venue packed below 90% capacity for its home games to date. The Eagles top the conference in average attendance gains, up 2.2%, while packing Lincoln Financial Field to 100% capacity.
