FoxSports.com's Brian Grey To Join Polaris Venture Partners

BRIAN GREY, FoxSports.com Senior VP & GM, is leaving the online operation to become an executive in residence for venture capital company Polaris Venture Partners. Grey, who joined FoxSports.com in August '05 after serving as GM of Yahoo Sports, will relocate from L.A. back to the S.F. area, where Polaris has an office and Grey has extensive personal and professional ties from his years working at Yahoo and before that at Shutterfly as VP/Business Development. Grey will begin the new role in early October, but also remain in an advisory role with FoxSports.com until a new lead executive is determined. In the immediate term, FoxSports.com will likely not name a direct replacement for Grey, but rather shift responsibilities to existing department heads, namely JEFF HUSVAR, Fox Sports Interactive Senior VP/Operations and GM of Scout Media.
