Wheels & Deals: Depend To Sponsor Jason Keller's Nationwide Ride

Keller To Sport Depend Paint Scheme For
Saturday's Nationwide Race At Dover
Kimberly-Clark, the primary sponsor of Jason Keller’s No. 27 Nationwide Series car, will sport the Depend brand for Saturday’s race at Dover. Depend will activate at track by partnering with ZERO, a prostate cancer group, to raise awareness about the disease and offer free prostate screenings Friday through Sunday. K-C’s retail partner, Rite Aid, is hosting the No. 27 show car through the weekend in the Dover market (Michael Smith, SportsBusiness Journal).

CLOSE TO SHUTTING DOWN: Driver Bobby Hamilton Jr. said that Team Rensi Motorsports' No. 25 Nationwide Series team "will close its doors in December if a new sponsor to replace Smithfield Foods isn't found by then." Hamilton said that Smithfield "told the team last Monday it would not return next season." Hamilton: "It's simple: If they don't have nothing by December, they're locking the doors." Team Rensi was forced to cut back from two Nationwide rides to one this season "because of sponsorship issues" (SCENEDAILY.com, 9/14).

BANK TURNS: Bank of America (BofA) is offering two free tickets to the Sprint Cup Series Bank of America 500 on October 11 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway to anyone who opens a NASCAR Banking checking account and applies for a NASCAR Banking credit card at one of 64 participating Charlotte-area BofA locations. The promotion began yesterday and runs through October 8 (Bank of America).
