The IOC announced Dir of Communications GISELLE DAVIES is resigning later this year to “‘start a new chapter’ in her professional and personal life.” Davies, who joined the IOC in ’02 after serving as head of corporate communications for the Jordan F1 team, will step down “after the committee’s technical debriefing in London on the Beijing Games” (AP, 9/5).
PRESIDENTIAL NEWS: Callaway Golf Company announced the company's BOD and President & CEO GEORGE FELLOWS have agreed to amend and extend the term of his employment agreement through December 2011 (Callaway Golf)....Hibbett Sports and its President & COO NISSAN JOSEPH have “agreed to part ways due to philosophical differences,” effective immediately. The company intends to begin a search for his replacement (Hibbett).
MEDIA: Cable network Fuse named VALERIE GREEN Senior VP/Marketing. Green will be responsible for the strategic brand positioning, marketing activity and creative direction for Fuse and its constituencies (HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, 9/4)….ANDREA GOLDSTEIN was named Dir of Communications for the CTV-Rogers Consortium for the 2010 and 2012 Olympic Games. GREG MCISAAC was named TSN Dir of Communications (TSN).
FAST TRACK: Churchill Downs named MIKE MOSSHOLDER VP/Sales and TED MAJOR Senior Dir of Partnership Development & Brand Activation. Previously, Mossholder was with the Dolphins while Major was an exec with the NHL Panthers (Churchill Downs)….The World Games 2010 Foundation named KATHLEEN SPEARS Dir of Finance for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. Most recently, Spears was CFO for Gaines Gentry Thoroughbreds (World Games 2010 Foundation).
