Blog Hound: Ban Of Hard-Throwing Little Leaguer Upsets Bloggers

Over the past 24 hours, the most popular blog topic was the ban of 9-year-old P Jericho Scott from the Youth Baseball League in New Haven, Connecticut, for throwing too hard, a ban that met with displeasure from sports bloggers. ESPN's Stuart Scott's basketball game and interview with U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama was the second-most popular topic. Bloggers also got a laugh out of British tabloid newspaper The Sun's billboards around London that poke fun at Australia's Beijing Games performance. Boxing promoter Don King hosting a Nike promotional pseudo-weigh in of ATP Tour players Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal before the U.S. Open was also a popular topic of discussion. Rounding out the top five was continued negative discussion of Cuba taekwondo athlete Angel Matos kicking a referee and Cuba President Fidel Castro came to Matos' defense.
