Fenway Sports Group (FSG) formally announced BRIAN CORCORAN as Exec VP/Business Development & Motorsports. Also, the following were promoted: BILLY HOGAN to Exec VP/Sales, FRANK HUCKABONE to Senior VP/Sales, ANDY MILLER to Dir of Business Development, BRIANNE BRUNI to Dir of Client Management, JENNA CLIFFORD to Account Supervisor and GEOF LEGG to Account Coordinator (FSG).
EXECS: The Lightning moved team President RON CAMPBELL to the role of Special Advisor to the Ownership. Campbell will retain the position of Exec VP for Palace Sports & Entertainment (Lightning). Campbell has served as Lightning President since the summer of ’99. However, the “hands-on approach by new owners OREN KOULES and LEN BARRIE made Campbell’s position redundant” (TAMPABAY.com, 8/21)….JEFF REES, a former Scotland Yard detective, has been named to run tennis’ new integrity unit. Rees was part of an independent panel that issued a report in May that found "45 matches merited further investigation because of irregular betting patterns" (CP, 8/23)....Joe Gibbs Racing named CHRIS HELEIN Dir of Corporate Communications, effective immediately. For the past two years, Helein was Redskins VP/PR (THE DAILY)….Learfield Sports named MASON ELLENBERGER GM for Louisiana Tech Sports Properties. For the past two years, Ellenberger was Sports Marketing Manager for Alltel Wireless (Learfield).
