Olympic Blog Hound: Phelps Remains The Talk Of The Blogs

Over the past 24 hours, blog discussion on the Olympics continued to center around U.S. swimmer Michael Phelps, with many responding to reports of Phelps' extremely high-calorie diet. Women's gymnastics also continued to be popular. Bloggers are enjoying NBC analyst Bela Karolyi's enthusiastic commentary, though some wish he was on-site instead of in the studio. Bloggers also criticized NBC analyst Andrea Joyce's post-competition interview of U.S. gymnast Alicia Sacramone. Men's basketball, specifically the U.S.' victory over Greece this morning, was also highly discussed, while video and images of a severe arm injury suffered by Hungary weightlifter Janos Baranyai were also popular. Discussion condemning Spain's defense of the ad featuring its basketball team pulling at the corners of its eyes rounded out the top five, with many discussing Mavericks and US G Jason Kidd's comments about a "double standard."
