SuperLiga Attendance Off 21.0% For Second Year Of Competition
The Revolution last night at Gillette Stadium defeated the Dynamo in the second annual SuperLiga competition, drawing a crowd of 9,242 for the all-MLS final. The crowd was down 26.1% from last year's final at The Home Depot Center featuring Pachuca CF-Galaxy. For the entire tournament, average attendance was off 21.0% from the inaugural year, with total attendance dipping below the 200,000 mark. The best draw at this year's competition was the CD Guadalajara-Dynamo match in Houston on July 15 with 28,723 people. Last year's most-attended match was CD Guadalajara-Galaxy at L.A.
